Study Skills Tutoring & Homework Help Vancouver Washington
Study Skills Tutoring will greatly increase your child's success in the classroom and improve his or her ability to manage homework. Children who exceed or meet their grade level standards in reading can benefit from the Study Skills Tutoring Program by creating more effective ways to learn in the classroom as well as at home.
Your child's skills will be assessed. The results allow us to develop a program that caters to his or her specific academic needs. In order to teach these skills effectively, we make reference to the student's school work and provide motivational tools to make the program enjoyable.
The Study Skills Tutoring Program assists students in grades 4-8 with the following strategies: taking notes in class, understanding textbooks, quality study time and habits, reading and taking notes, understanding graphic aids, memorization of important information, preparing for and taking tests, solving math word problems, using the library, using the Internet, using reference sources, and writing research papers.
The mastery of the Study Skills Tutoring Program allows students to face every school assignment with confidence and pride.
